2019 Book Week Costume Ideas

Every year across Australia, kids celebrate Australian children's literature with Book Week. 

Each year a new theme is chosen and the 2019 Book Week theme is Reading is my Secret Power. Usually the themed week is celebrated in schools with a book character parade, giving kids the opportunity to dress as their favourite book character - and parents a chance to frantically pull together an outfit.

So we wanted to give you the heads up now that the 2019 Book Week is held from 17 - 23 August 2019.

And with that date fast approaching we've put together a range of costumes for both the students and adults, to help get your week sorted now, and not at 11:59pm on Sunday 16 August.

Let's start with everyone's favourite Wizard, Harry Potter.

And then there are the classics, Cat In The Hat

Or the Mad Hatter, from Alice In Wonderland
